ABOUT ABOUT

The Collegiate Players will present Bob Fosse, John Kander and Fred Ebb’s Broadway classic, Chicago (High School Edition) on October 23, 24 and 25 at 7:30 in Oates Theatre. The longest-running American musical in Broadway history, Chicago is a dazzling and satirical look at fame, justice, and the American media machine set to one of Broadway’s greatest scores.

In roaring twenties, Jazz-Age Chicago, Roxie Hart murders her faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap… until he finds out he’s been duped and turns on Roxie. In the Cook County Jail, Roxie meets her hero, the famed double-murderess and nightclub performer Velma Kelly. Tensions come to a head as the two murderesses vie for the ultimate spotlight.

Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased through the TicketLeap website (https://collegiate-va.ticketleap.com/chicago---high-school-edition/ or by contacting Kate Parthemos ([email protected]).
